New Grooming Routes

The new Groomer Barn at #8 on M-77 means our grooming routes have changed! What that means to you? Well, it will mean much better conditions on the busiest trail to begin with! Trail #8 from #888 to #443 will be groomed twice every night and again during the day on the weekends, which will make the trail hold up better with the high level of traffic seen in that section. The next change is that we are no longer grooming from the staging area at the Adams Trail & M-77 to #88.

East Route = Trail #8 East from the Groomer Barn all the way to within about 4 miles of Rainbow Lodge and back. Groomed starting at dusk.

West Route = Trail #8 West, then #89 along the lakeshore and the log slide road, then back onto #8 at the west end of the Hurricane Truck Trail, south through the Kingston hills and plains to the Grade, then east on the Grade to the #88/#888 junction (Adams Trail and the Sunrise Landing Road) and back the way we came to the barn. Groomed starting at dusk.

North Route = Trail #8 West to the Rhody Creek Truck Trail #888 and down to #88 at Deadman's Lake where we turn around and go back up #888 to Trail #8 and head West on the Hurricane Truck Trail turning around at #89 and back toward town to the "4 corners" (H-58/Wm Hill Rd/Newberg Rd) where we head into town on the Woodland Park Trail and turn around at the gas station. Then we go back out to the 4 corners and continue up Wm Hill Rd, east on Lowder Rd (Trail #8W) to the barn. Groomed starting at dusk.

South Route = Trail #8 East from the Barn to #443. Then the driver heads south to the intersection with #431 just south of the hot dog stand and turns around. From there the groomer goes back up #443 to #88 and heads west on #88, crossing M-77, and continuing on to Deadman's Lake and turns around. The groomer goes back on #88 and then turns north on #443 going all the way back up to Trail #8E to the barn. Groomed after midnight.

Town Route = Starting at the barn, Trail #8 East to #443, turn around and go back crossing M-77 then into town through Woodland Park to the gas station, turn around and back to the barn. Groomed by business owners in the afternoons, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
