New Grooming Routes ~ Updated 2/2012

The new Groomer Barn at #8 on M-77 means our grooming routes have changed! What that means to you? Well, it will mean much better conditions on the busiest trail to begin with! Trail #8 from #888 to #443 will be groomed twice every night, which will make the trail hold up better with the high level of traffic seen in that section.

East Route = Trail #8 East from the Groomer Barn all the way to within about 4 miles of Rainbow Lodge and back. Starting at dusk.

West Route = Trail #8 West, then #89 along the lakeshore and the log slide road, then back onto #8 at the west end of the Hurricane Truck Trail, south through the Kingston hills and plains to the Grade, then east on the Grade to the #88/#888 junction (Adams Trail and the Sunrise Landing Road) and back the way we came to the barn. Starting at dusk.

North Route = Trail #8 West on the Hurricane Truck Trail turning around at the western junction with #89 and back to the Rhody Creek Truck Trail #888 then #88 east to M-77 and back the way we came and into town before returning to the barn. Starting at dusk.

South Route = Trail #8 East from the Groomer Barn to Trail #443 then South to just south of the Hot Dog Stand at the intersection of Seney Trail #431. Then back North to #88 and west to M-77 and then turning around and going back to #443 north back to the barn. Starting between midnight and 2:00 a.m. typically.
